Finally, Akhil’s Second film with Vikram Launched

Nearly After two years of long wait, Akhil Akkineni’s second film has finally hit the floors. He made his debut with ‘Akhil’ film that was released in late 2015 and his second film has been formally launched on Sunday 6.17 pm muhurtham at Annapurna Studios Hyderabad.

Touted to be a youthful romance, the film would be on the lines of Shiva, a college backdrop film that had cemented Nag’s stardom. The untitled film to be directed by Vikram Kumar completed its pooja and Vikram Kumar said this would be a different commercial film for Akhil.

Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s great-granddaughters Satya and Sagari sounded the clapboard for the muhuratham shot that was filmed on the photo frames of gods. It was a low-key affair with only Akkineni family and director Vikram Kumar’s presence. Director Raghavendra Rao graced the launch.

Nagarjuna shared his excitement on the film and he said he’s quite kicked about the film’s story and Akhil’s role. The regular shooting will be rolling onto the floors from April 3, Monday.

Though the makers have not announced the title, ‘Junnu’ and ‘Ekkada Ekkada Undo Taaraka’ were registered. Heroine’s name and the remaining cast will be finalized very soon.  The technical team of ‘Manam’ that includes music director Anup and cinematographer P S Vinod is working for this film too.
