After A War Of Words, Ravindra Jadeja Teaches Lesson To Matthew Wade

Terms like ethics and morals of the game are quite antonyms when the Australian cricket team is considered. Be it 1990’s team or 21st century’s Australia is somewhere out of the game spirit. On various incidents, war of words turned worser when it was about sledging the rival cricket teammates.

Now, especially when it is a series deciding match like the fourth test, the curiousity will be highly intriguing and crucifying. The Aussies as always known, will never take back a step on intensifying the sledging.

But this time in the match, here’s someone on the crease, and he doesn’t give a shit about the rival’s edgeless words. Yes! It is Team-India’s most proficient allrounder Ravindra Jadeja.

Early this day, Team India is already down with six wickets at 284 runs during the session 1.

Despite this scoreboards, the Aussies’ wicketkeeper Matthew Wade decided to take a bid at Jadeja by sledging him while he was on the strike. In this process, Wade started praising Nathan Lyon and comparing the spinner with Jadeja.

Wade was heard saying: “Very good in all conditions, Gary (Lyon). Great in all conditions, Gary, “You get wickets all over the world, mate. You’re not just a one-trick pony.”

Puffing off the ill words from Wade, Jadeja swiftly shot a six marking it as his 1000th run in the test series. This plays a vital role in Jadeja’s track record as he is only the 10th cricketer to score 1000 test runs and 100 wickets in total, simultaneously.

Wrapping up his words, Wade further took forward taunting behind Jadeja, “I’m going to get a selfie with him at the end of the game. Put it on Instagram, as soon as the game finishes.”

Though Umpire Marais Erasmus involved in the mean conversation urging “Wade, are you going to stop that?” Wade concluded: “Careful with that sword too.”

However, Jadeja is not someone who could take words for granted, after playing some fine game, he replied:

“I don’t understand why the Australian selectors pick you for Tests. You don’t deserve it.”

On the other side, some of the Aussies’ fielders came to Wade’s rescue saying: “You don’t deserve to play anywhere but here (in India).”

Not with the words, Jadeja wonderfully answered Wade’s chirping with an astonishing half-century.
